The Giro came to Amsterdam for no less than 3 stages and painted the city pink On Monday, the cyclists took off from the Zuidas, the business district of Amsterdam and basically the Netherlands. Cyclists, fine. Look at the great team cars following them.
Back from Beijing
By admin in MBA, Onderweg, Personal…with a suitcase full of experiences and insights.
Building on the MBA trip to Silicon Valley last November, we spent a week in Beijing, China, with our class and the class of 2011. As I let it all sink in some more, have a look at the exciting schedule for the week. I have the ambition to write some postson the remarkable experiences. Of course I had the same ambition with the Silicon Valley trip and this is still in draft….time time time. Better get to work.

Kick-off MBA thesis: going open…
By admin in MBAI have known for the past 18 months this moment would come and still it feels I was unprepared. Getting started on an academic thesis is hard, especially on a Sunday morning after an honest week at the office and a party in the weekend. But we’re off, all systems go. Accenture Innovation Awards photos & video

Internet Speeds and Costs around the world
By admin in The internetThrough Dumpert.nl of all places comes this fun graph on the top 20 nations in broadband. Netherlands sort of best of the rest, Korea and Japan look very very attractive. Even more interesting now would be graphs showing the results linked to this differences: education? health care? Entertainment? What do the Japan and Korea people get out of this advantage and should the other countries take notice? My gut says yes, if only for the possibilities.
Inspiration board
By admin in Brand new heroes, Logos, Marketing, Personal, Remarkable, Spotting, UncategorizedAbout 2 years ago I was so fed up with not being able to find a nice piece of ‘art’ for my study, I decided to make one myself. Not so much a Van Gogh as it is an inspiration board, containing visuals on the things surrounding me, inspiring me.
A lot can change in these 24 months. Seth Godin is still a big inspiration, so is Guy and so is Steve. Blogger, Segway and Ebay don’t have the same sparkle they used to have. And hey, no twitter?
I just realized though even more has changed in my brain than in the new media/marketing industry. My view is so much wider and deeper than it was 2 years ago. There are some different things now that inspire me. Not because they’re hot now, but because I see more the deeper movements behind them than I used to. Progress, right?

**This is a repost of Accenture BlogPodium. Full disclosure: I work for Accenture, driving force behind the Zuidas Run**
We had a few beautiful weeks in Amsterdam. Clear blue sky, sun and, consequently, full terraces across town. So you’re organizing the Zuidas Run and dotting the ‘i’s these warm days and naturally think, if only…….
